| WRITINGS | Ascension Magick: Ritual, Myth & Healing for the New Aeon (March 2007, Llewellyn Publications) Ascension Magick walks the edge between the traditional world of the mage, shaman and witch and the modern paradigms of the theosophist, spiritualist and lightworker, to explore the magick and mysteries of the modern ascension movement. Based in the teachings and channelings of Theosophy, the ascension paradigm is a leading force in the New Age Movement. Practitioners are guided by inner plane teachers, known as ascended masters, and work with the seven rays of light, to create a beneficial change in the world, ushering in the next aeon. Ascension Magick compares, contrasts and synthesizes the teachers of ascension with those of more traditional forms of magick, demonstrating how both traditions have much in common and can aid each other. The text clarifies misunderstandings and stereotypes about both communities by exploring the shadow and how to heal it, as well as uniting the two communities under the mutual identities of spiritual healer and spiritual warrior. The lessons include the history, both ancient and modern, that has influenced ascension, the purpose of magick and ritual, healing, crystals, flower essences, sacred geometry, the merkaba meditation, working with ascension allies such as the ascended masters, angels, faeries, star beings and ancestors, sacred calendars and the dawning of the next age.
The Temple of High Witchcraft: Ceremonies, Spheres and the Witch's Qabalah The fourth in the popular Temple of Witchcraft series, this volume explores the element of air, the mind, perspective and communication, and the relationship between modern witchcraft and ceremonial magick--and argues that the two have aided the other's development. Many witches use ceremonial techniques and training, while the roots of ceremonial magick can be found in the ancient temples among the spiritual ancestors of the witch. In this book, Christopher not only teaches the traditional ceremonies of high magick, including the rituals of the pentagram and hexagram, but encourages the reader to deconstruct them, understanding all the parts, and reconstruct them in the student's own personal mythos and symbol system. Lessons follow a Qabalistic format, using the spheres of the Tree of Life as a guide for understanding and personal initiation. The final project of this study is the construction of your own reality map, your own system that is tailored to your own experiences, mythos and practice, that will act as both a spiritual guide and a mnemonic device in your study of magick.
